"Stormy" is a hit song by the Classics IV released on their LP Mamas and Papas/Soul Train in 1968. It entered Billboard Magazine October 26, 1968, peaking at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and #26 Easy Listening. The final line of the Chorus has the singer pleading to the girl: "Bring back that sunny day". This single release along with the prior release of "Spooky", and soon afterward the release of "Traces", made great success for the band, a part of the well known songs from the ensemble.

The song was covered in 1968 by O.C. Smith on his Columbia album titled "For Once In My Life", in 1969 by The Meters on their debut album on Josie (The Meters), in 1978 by Santana on the album Inner Secrets (U.S. #32, AC #19), and by Marker Starling on the 2016 album I'm Willing. There is video of an unreleased 1969 cover by Bobbie Gentry.
Gábor Szabó did an instrumental cover of the song which John Legend heavily samples in his single, "Save Room".
Madlib did an instrumental cover as well, on his album Shades of Blue.
